NAMI Nassau County, Florida will be hosting a Family to Family education course beginning on Monday, January 28th, 2019 and ending on April 8th, 2019.  The course will be held on Mondays from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  The location will be at the Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare drop in center at 2201 Sadler Road Fernandina Beach, Florida.

NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 12-session educational program for family, significant others, and friends of people living with mental illness. It is an  evidenced-based program. Research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to an individual living with a mental health condition. NAMI Family-to-Family is taught by NAMI-trained family members who have been there, and includes presentations, discussion and interactive exercises.  This is a group setting that teaches how to manage crises, solve problems, manage stress, locate local supports, obtain up-to-date information, learn about current treatments, and the impact of mental illness on the entire family.
